Venus Is Highest Degree Planet Now

Venus is now the highest degree planet until December 20th, which compliments the holiday season through the expression of love in action. Expect to give (and get back) "heartfelt" connections with others. Shopping for practical items is more likely to be "the gift" of the season, thanks to the practical sign of Capricorn. Get shopping and holiday entertaining done by December 22nd, when Venus reverses course (retrogrades). More on this later!   

Mars enters Libra today!

Mars officially enters Libra today, and this signals major issues in coming weeks (and months) concerning relationships (of all kinds). Things get "heated" when Mars is involved, and often things happen fast. The bigger message is having to make room for others, when in fact you want to focus on yourself. Upsets occur when you are unable to find balance between you and another.

The Moon and Jupiter Join Hands Today

Overall this means a great day for many, and for those that are overlooked (due to personal planetary energies) we extend heartfelt sympathies. Like the tides of the Moon, planetary energies "take turns" delivering their messages. When the energies are good we love what we hear, and when they are not we can choose to play "deaf" or hunker down and extract the essence of the message.

Today and tomorrow are potentially two of the best days in quite a while, so plan on doing something social and/or pleasurable. A nice change of "energy" that lasts until Nov11th

With the exception of the Moon, and only lasting a couple of hours in most cases, the highest degree planet will be Jupiter until October 26th, followed by Venus until November 5th and once again Jupiter until November 11th. This indicates a period when the harmonious energies of these planets will prevail at the end of the day, as opposed to energies that are a lot less friendly. Take heed, they will return, so use this period to your advantage by scheduling and/or attending social activities. Keep in mind personal chart configurations may negate some of these energies, as they could be taking a back seat to more powerful and pressing planets.

The exuberance of Jupiter can make it possible to get carried away, and in the process you can go overboard. Keep the checkbook in mind, as overspending may feel good now but the reality check will eventually arrive. The idea of money is on most peoples minds with Mercury (thoughts and ideas) in the sign of Scorpio (money) and reversing course along the way. No major decisions and/or contracts should be signed until after November 11th for this reason. Also avoid downloading and installing software/updates...glitches always seem to surface otherwise.

Mid November ushers in another Solar Eclipse, offering you a chance to "transform and start a new" in some area of your life. This idea was presented to you last year, possibly tinged with stress and/or a sense of panic, but surprisingly you have made it thus far. What about Edward Snowden?

Edward Snowden was born on June 21 1983 according to the web resource Wikipedia, and this places his Sun at 29 degrees of Gemini. What comes to mind almost at once is the fact that transiting Jupiter just entered his 1^st house (solar houses), where it remains for the next year. This alone suggests that his troubles may not end up being as bad as one might think, considering the situation he currently faces. He has been accused of leaking highly classified surveillance programs as a contractor for the National Security Agency, and at the time of this article he is reported to be in route to Russia. It appears that he also has the support of Wikileaks, an organization with aims of protecting journalistic integrity worldwide.

Gemini is a sign of communication, and language is important to this sign. When this sign is prominent in astrological chart the individual is attracted to high tech gadgets, or as in Edward’s case a high tech career path. He is also reported to have an interest in the Japanese language and culture. With Pisces on the cusp of his career sector, and Neptune as the most elevated planet, he has gravitated to a career that embraces secrecy which Neptune rules. It could also make him quite mysterious and illusive, as slipping out of the country would seem to support.

Startling events are often associated with Eclipses, and within the past 4o days or so there have been three of them: there were two Lunar ones and one Solar. Solar Eclipses speak of dynamic events, and often crop up with great speed and urgency. The Solar Eclipse took place at 19/20 degrees of Taurus, and falls in his house of social connections as well as radical causes. In this regard he has become a leader of sorts, putting him at potential risk in order to benefit the masses. As to whether his motives are pure (or not) one can not speculate without knowing him personally, but it would be fair to say that his actions thus far has fit this description, and almost to a “T”.

The most recent Lunar Eclipse contacted exactly his natal Jupiter, and this has already activated several issues connected to this planet. Jupiter governs foreign lands, the law, journalism and the truth, travel, publishing and higher learning/teaching. As we can see by these key phrases, almost all of them describe what he has encountered already. This Lunar Eclipse also contacted transiting Neptune, suggesting that we don’t have a total picture of what is actually going on. In time we are sure to have more revealed, and suspending any judgments is best for now.

So what lies ahead for him according to his chart? Using the transiting planets, progressions and solar arc techniques it appears that he may find a safe haven after all. Coming up he will encounter several transits affecting the income sector, including financial challenges. However he also has fortunate planets activating the same region, suggesting he will find answers or solutions to these challenges.  When one’s life changes and profound new chapters emerge, the planet Pluto is sure to be active. In his case he has transiting Pluto opposing solar arc Mercury, hinting at actions he must take in respect to something or someone else…in this case his spoken words have pit him against the US government causing him to “start over” in another country. With his natal Jupiter and Uranus in close company to one another, he is sure to love exploring other cultures and most likely will adapt easily.

Transiting Jupiter will also contact solar arc Mercury, especially by early March 2014. This hints at good news of some kind, so until then we will have to wait and see what happens. What we do know for sure is that his natal North Node is in Gemini and to find any chance of happiness in this lifetime Edward will have to learn to stand by his convictions by demonstrating them through thoughts and ideas…even if it goes against what others expect of him.
